In a city older than the state it resides a blue stone was discovered that would be the driving force of its economy for years to come. Kingman Arizona is home to the worlds most famous turquoise mine; The Kingman mine. Kingman turquoise is highly sought after for its beautiful rich blues and stunning vein structures. I chose to set this stone because it features both.
The stone is set in Sterling Silver with a Fine Silver Bezel.
The stone has been stabilized with non dyed stabilizer. Turquoise that has not been stabilized tends to deteriorate and crumble with daily wear. Turquoise in general is a very soft stone and rates low on the Mohs hardness scale.
