Despite what many people think Amber is not actually a stone. It is actually fossilized tree resin. For centuries it has been a sought after material to craft high end jewelry and statues. In many culture traditional carving techniques are used to produce elaborate religious and other statues. One of the unique characteristic about Amber is its many inclusions and trapped debris. Often this debris includes tiny insects from prehistoric times.
This necklace was handcrafted by Marty in the Stones & Fire studio. It features a beautiful Genuine Amber pendant and Sterling Silver bail and chain.
